about
FIELD DAY
It should be no surprise to anyone that Field Day would continue to push beyond the boundaries of their Dag Nasty roots to become an unstoppable force. 2020 was a MASSIVE year for Field Day, getting on the Cortex Top20 twice. Both Field Day "2.0" and "Opposite Land" made it to the #1 position and stayed on the sales charts for over 12 weeks, outselling many Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords bands.
2021 looks to be another busy year as Field Day focuses their energy on Punk Rock Bowling in Sept and releasing new music. This song "INVITATION" is the first single of the year and will be released on May 28th. This track also appears on the Strength Thru Unity Comp released by Unity Worldwide Records.

lyrics
When we were young we were willing to try
Or maybe just we were willing to lie
And we’ve known for so long
And that time has long since gone
It’s not the same - It’s not the same
But now it seems we’ve lost our way
Voices that once were united have faded away
And we’ve known for so long
And that time has long since gone
It’s not the same - It’s not the same
I tried to tell myself
cuz I thought those days were long since gone
I thought you always knew that
This time could never come back
You’ve got it all mixed up
Those days are long since gone
I tried to tell myself
cuz I thought those days were long since gone
I thought you always knew that
This time could never come back
You’ve got it all mixed up
Those days are long since gone

Whenever you’re creating something new chances are there will always be a bit of skepticism, especially when it comes to

This band. Hands down my favorite Discord band. They’ve had a powerful affect on my musical growth when I was young. And they’ve stayed there locked up in good nostalgia. Timeless. So I was worried to know they were doing anything new. PLEASE NO! I though to myself. Don’t let the new stuff suck and poison it! Well… Let’s say I’m thankful. A new chapter is born. Solid. guy_lane
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
